Biography:

Dr. Walters is a native of Southern California. He grew up in Poway, near San Diego, and graduated from Poway High School. He later moved to Evansville, Indiana, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Evansville.

He continued his education in Bowling Green, completing a Master of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Western Kentucky University. Dr. Walters then attended the University of Louisville, where he earned his Medical Doctorate.

Following medical school, he returned to Evansville to complete a Family Medicine Residency at Deaconess Family Medicine. He has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Board of Family Medicine for his contributions to teaching and education within the field. Dr. Walters is board certified in Family Medicine and provides care for patients of all ages—from newborns to older adults.

His clinical focus includes primary care, preventive medicine, mental health, school and sports physicals, cardiovascular health, diabetes management, and understanding the interactions between patients, their families, their work or school environments, and their broader community.

Since April 2021, Dr. Walters has served as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Massac Hospital. He also interprets adult and pediatric pulmonary function testing and serves as the Medical Director of the clinic.

* Primary care evaluation and support for school and behavioral concerns (ADHD, ODD)
* Mental health care, including depression, anxiety, and mood disorders
* Adult wellness evaluations
* Work and school physicals
* Problem-based care across all organ systems, including:
* Neurological concerns
* Eye, ear, nose, and throat issues
* Thyroid and hormonal disorders* Diabetes management
* Cardiovascular health
* Pulmonary and respiratory conditions
* Musculoskeletal concerns
* Gastrointestinal issues
* Gynecological care (birth control, Pap testing, menstrual concerns)
* Men’s health (low testosterone, sexual health concerns)
* Medication management, with a primary goal of evaluating the appropriateness of each medication and optimizing therapy
* Pulmonary function testing
* Vaccinations and vaccine counseling
* Laboratory testing and interpretation

Hobbies: He enjoys family time with his wife of 20 years, four children, Boston Terrier. He and his family attend Heartland Church in Paducah. He enjoys participating in Scouts BSA activities, reviewing new tech/devices, watching movies, and when time permits scuba diving.
