Biography:
Dr. Connell is a native of Southern Illinois. He grew up on Lake of Egypt and graduated from Marion High School. He received both his Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and his Medical Degree from Saint Louis University. He completed his psychiatry residency at Community Health Network in Indianapolis, Indiana.Dr. Connell is board certified psychiatrist that primarily focuses on treatment of adults. He is dedicated to expanding access to specialized psychiatric treatments in Southern Illinois and is one of the few psychiatrists in the area providing Spravato® (esketamine) treatment for treatment-resistant depression, and Sublocade® (buprenorphine extended-release injection) for opioid use disorder.
Dr. Connell currently lives on Lake of Egypt with his wife and two children and is proud to serve the community where he was raised.
