Massac Memorial Hospital recognizes that it is in the best efforts of the organization and the community we serve to treat patients, visitors, employees and job applicants in an unbiased and non-discriminatory manner. Massac Memorial Hospital complies with the provisions of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Mexican with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, and any state anti-discrimination laws. No person will be denied or discriminated against in the provision of care of services on the basis of race, color, religion, spiritual beliefs, sexual orientation/gender identity, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, handicap, disability, inability to pay, Medicare Medicaid or Illinois Youthcare coverage.

This policy applies to all patients, physicians, medical personnel, employees, and applicants regarding the following areas:

Provision of patient care
Utilization of all services
Staff privileges of professionally qualified personnel
Employment application procedures and treatment of employees
Solicitations or advertisements for employment
