Quality & Infection Control Manager (full-time)

Typically work Mon. – Fri. 7a - 3:30p schedule. Coordinate Performance Improvement (PI), Infection Control (IC), Employee Health, In-service Education & Risk Management (RM) programs for hospital in general & nursing dept in particular via collaboration with department managers including 1) planned & systematic approach to process design & performance measurement & assessment, 2) surveillance, control & prevention of infectious diseases under direction of medical advisor, 3) new employee general orientation, 4) annual education program & nursing competencies 5) TB administration & 6) RM program & activities with liability insurance provider & RM Committee. Participate on Safety, PI & Compliance committees, perform budget process including accounting for variances, submit periodic reports re: operations, benchmarks, goal attainment, Comp Data, etc., supervise 1 employee & demonstrate good conflict resolution, problem solving, team building & leadership. Report to CNE.

Need graduate of accredited or approved nursing program w/current IL RN license & CPR certification (BSN or BS in health care related field preferred) & 5 years professional experience in clinical, teaching, supervisory & leadership roles. Be familiar with epidemiology principles & infectious diseases. APIC training is mandatory within 1 year of employment or promotion. Possess excellent interpersonal, written communication & basic computer skills including spreadsheets, database management & e-mail. Be well organized self-starter, dependable in attendance, work follow-thru & hands-on. Position requires light physical activity. MMH is an EOE.

Need PRN RN’s & LPN’s to work “as needed” on Medical/Surgical floor primarily but may also be assigned to Surgery, ER & SCU units depending on qualifications.

PRN nurses are eligible for PRN pay of $4/hr (RN’s) & $2/hr (LPN’s) on top of base pay.
